Your Showcase
Your showcase is your ham radio identity in Hamtrax. It displays your callsign, equipment, activations, hunting history, and social links. Other operators can find you by searching your callsign in-app, or you can share your showcase URL directly. It's worth setting it up the way you want.
Viewing Your Showcase
Open the Showcase tab from the sidebar. You'll see your own showcase along with visibility controls that let you choose what sections others can see. Inside the header card is an "About your public showcase" link that opens a modal explaining how the showcase works. Next to it are two buttons: Open opens your showcase as others see it, and Copy Link copies your public showcase URL to the clipboard so you can share it anywhere. The About modal explains why your URL uses a short code (like hamtrax.com/abc123) instead of your callsign — callsigns aren't necessarily unique to each operator, and short codes are compact enough to fit in POTA spot comments.
What's on Your Showcase
Header
Your callsign is displayed prominently at the top alongside your avatar. Below it you'll see:
- License class -- Your license level (e.g., Amateur Extra, General), shown directly under the callsign.
- Display name -- Your name as set in Settings > Account.
- Username -- Your @username, if set.
- Location -- City, state, and country from your callsign lookup.
- Local time -- Calculated from your grid square or coordinates.
- Badges -- Founder badge (if applicable).
- QSL Manager -- Shown as "QSL via …" when one is on file from your callsign lookup.
Equipment
Your radios and antennas from the Rig Manager. Each equipment card shows the name or model, manufacturer or type, supported bands, default marker, and image when available. On your own Showcase, tapping a card opens it for editing in Rig Manager; visitors see a read-only detail view. You can star a default radio and antenna, and add new equipment directly from here.
Social Links
Links to your profiles on YouTube, Instagram, X, Facebook, Discord, Mastodon, Reddit, or your personal website. These display as a scrolling carousel of branded pills. Tap the pencil icon to edit them inline.
Activations
Your POTA activation folders are displayed as activation cards. Each card shows the park reference, park name, location (state/country), date, and cover photo with a photo count badge when photos are attached. Cards with attached livestream URLs show a livestream badge. Tap a card to open a detail modal with the full photo gallery, notes, livestream link thumbnails with video titles, and contact views for List, Map, and DX. Contacts open in List view by default. On your own showcase, the detail modal lets you update notes and add or delete photos; saved livestream links are displayed when present. It also has a Share button at the top of the modal, just above the photos, that generates the folder's shareable contact-map image — the same flow as the Logbook's folder Share button — and each contact row includes a QSL Card button, left of Edit, for creating that contact's QSL card image. Share and QSL Card appear only on your own showcase, never for visitors viewing it.
Hunting
Your monthly hunting folders (non-activation QSOs) displayed as clickable cards in a grid. Each card shows the month and year (e.g., "March 2026") and QSO count. The current month's card is highlighted with a brand-colored left border for quick orientation. Tap a card to open a detail modal with the full photo gallery and QSO table. On your own showcase this is the same editable detail modal as activations: notes and photos are editable, a Share button at the top of the modal generates the month's contact-map image, and each contact row has a QSL Card button. When you have more than six months of hunting history, a "View all months" link expands the grid to show every folder.
Photos in activation and hunting folders follow the shared Folder Media limits and supported formats.
Public Visibility Controls
Each showcase section has a visibility toggle that controls whether it appears on your public showcase. Sections marked Public are visible to anyone who views your showcase; sections marked Hidden are only shown to you.
Inside the header card you'll also find an Open button that opens your showcase as others see it, and a Copy Link button that copies your public showcase URL to the clipboard.
Editing Your Showcase
Showcase information is managed through different parts of the app:
- Callsign, name, and avatar -- Go to Settings > Account to update your profile identity.
- Equipment -- Tap any equipment card to edit it in the Rig Manager, or use the + New Radio / + New Antenna buttons.
- Social links -- Tap the pencil icon on the Social Links section to add or update your links inline.
Your activation cards update automatically as you log QSOs. You don't need to edit these -- they're always current.
Your showcase is public via a unique short code (not your callsign). Callsigns aren't necessarily unique — portable prefixes, club calls, and international duplicates mean multiple operators can share the same callsign. Your short code is a unique, compact identifier that works in URLs and POTA spot comments. Anyone can also find you by searching your callsign in-app. Your email address and account details are never shown. Use the visibility toggles to control which sections appear publicly.
Looking Up Other Operators
You can view any operator's showcase by searching for their callsign. There are two types of external profiles:
- App member -- A Hamtrax user. Shows a full bento-grid layout with social links, activations, hunting folders, and equipment.
- Non-member -- Not on Hamtrax. Shows basic information from FCC/QRZ (name, location, license class, QSL manager), current activity from spotting networks, POTA stats, and a link to their QRZ page.
To look up an operator:
- Use the search bar in the sidebar.
- Enter a callsign.
- Tap the result to view their showcase.
