DXCC

The DX Century Club is one of ham radio's most prestigious awards. The goal is to make confirmed contacts with at least 100 DXCC entities -- countries, territories, and certain remote islands recognized by the ARRL. Hamtrax tracks every entity you work and shows your progress visually.

Viewing Your DXCC Progress

  1. Open the Profile tab.
  2. Tap the DXCC progress badge, or navigate to Awards > DXCC.
  3. You'll see your progress bar, earned/needed counts, and a searchable grid of all DXCC entities.

What You'll See

The DXCC detail screen shows:

  • Progress bar -- A visual bar showing your percentage toward completion, color-coded by progress level.
  • Earned / Needed counts -- A summary showing how many entities you've confirmed and how many remain.
  • Searchable entity grid -- All DXCC entities displayed in a grid. Earned entities appear first with a checkmark badge; needed entities are dimmed with a dashed border. Use the search field to quickly find a specific entity.

Hamtrax tracks DXCC in four mode variants: Mixed, Phone, CW, and Digital. Each variant is tracked independently as a separate award on your profile.

How Entities Are Resolved

When you log a QSO, Hamtrax resolves the DXCC entity from the contact's callsign prefix and country information. It uses the current ARRL DXCC entity list, which includes over 340 recognized entities. Deleted entities are not counted.

info

DXCC entity resolution is automatic. If a callsign's entity can't be determined (for example, a special event callsign with an unusual prefix), you can manually set the DXCC entity when editing the QSO.

Milestones

Hamtrax recognizes several DXCC milestones as you progress:

Hamtrax counts entities as "worked" based on QSOs in your logbook. The official DXCC award requires confirmed contacts (via Logbook of the World or QSL cards). Your Hamtrax count may differ from your official DXCC standing.
