Getting Started

Hamtrax is a modern, offline-first ham radio toolkit that runs on web, iOS, and Android. Whether you're chasing POTA activations, tracking your DXCC progress, or just logging your daily QSOs, Hamtrax gives you one place to do it all -- and your data stays in sync across every device.

Creating Your Account

Getting started takes about 30 seconds:

  1. Open hamtrax.com in your browser, or download the app from the App Store or Google Play.
  2. Tap Sign Up on the welcome screen.
  3. Create an account using your email address or sign in with Google.
  4. Enter your callsign when prompted. Hamtrax uses this to personalize your experience and pull your station info.

tip

You can update your callsign later from the Profile tab if it changes.

A Quick Tour

Hamtrax is organized around four main tabs at the bottom of the screen.

Home

Your personalized feed. Hamtrax learns what matters to you -- your favorite bands, modes, and activities -- and surfaces relevant spots, news, and suggestions. The more you use the app, the better it gets.

Activity

Discover live ham radio activity around the world. Browse real-time spots from POTA, SOTA, WWFF, the DX Cluster, the Reverse Beacon Network, and more. Switch between a 2D map and a 3D globe to see what's on the air right now.

Log

Your QSO journal. Log contacts manually, or import your existing logbook from ADIF, CSV, or Cabrillo files. Every QSO is saved locally first and synced to the cloud when you're online, so you never lose a contact in the field.

Profile

Your ham radio identity at a glance. Track stats like total QSOs, countries worked, and band activity. View your award progress for DXCC, WAS, and WAZ. Earn trophies as you hit milestones.

info

All four tabs are available on every platform. The experience is the same whether you're on your phone at a summit or at your desk at home.
