Your Personalized Feed

The Home tab is your personalized starting point in Hamtrax. It surfaces a curated stream of content tailored to your interests, location, and operating habits -- so you always know what is happening in the amateur radio world that matters to you.

What You'll See​

Your feed combines several types of content into a single, vertically scrolling stream:

  • Activity suggestions -- nearby parks to activate, summits within driving distance, and stations currently on the air that match your interests.
  • Friend activity -- see when friends log contacts, start activations, or earn awards.
  • Club updates -- announcements and events from clubs you belong to.
  • Streak trackers -- keep tabs on your daily QSO streaks, activation streaks, and other milestones.
  • Competition updates -- live standings and results from challenges you have joined.
  • Propagation alerts -- notifications when band conditions change or a band opens unexpectedly.
  • Interesting spots -- notable DX spots, rare activators, and stations worth chasing right now.

How Personalization Works​

  1. Hamtrax starts by using your location, license class, and activity preferences to build an initial feed.
  2. As you interact with feed items -- tapping into spots, chasing activators, dismissing content you are not interested in -- the feed learns what matters to you.
  3. Over time, the algorithm adjusts the mix so you see more of what you engage with and less of what you skip.
New to Hamtrax?

If you just created your account, you will see onboarding content designed to help you explore the app's features. As you start logging contacts and joining activities, the feed will gradually shift to personalized recommendations.

  • Scroll vertically to browse content, just like a social feed.
  • Tap any card to dive deeper -- view a spot on the map, open an activator's profile, or jump straight into the QSO form.
  • Pull down to refresh and load the latest content.

The feed updates automatically in the background, but a manual pull-to-refresh guarantees you are seeing the most current data.
