Frequencies
The Frequencies tab in the HAM Dictionary tool is a quick-reference guide to common radio frequencies organized by service. Whether you need the NOAA weather channel for your area, the national 2m simplex calling frequency, or the APRS frequency for your region, it is all in one place.
Opening the Frequencies Reference
- Open HAM Dictionary from the sidebar or tools menu.
- Select the Frequencies tab.
Available Services

| Ham Calling | 10 | Common amateur simplex and SSB calling frequencies |
| APRS | 10 | Automatic Packet Reporting System frequencies by region |
| NOAA Weather | 7 | NWS continuous weather broadcasts (WX1--WX7) |
| Marine VHF | 16 | Key marine VHF channels including distress and working |
| FRS | 22 | Family Radio Service — license-free, 2W max |
| GMRS | 16 | General Mobile Radio Service — license required, up to 50W |
| CB | 40 | Citizens Band — 27 MHz AM, license-free |
| MURS | 5 | Multi-Use Radio Service — license-free, 2W max |
Filtering
Use the filter field at the top of the Frequencies tab to search by channel number, frequency, service name, or description. The list updates instantly as you type.
