Repeaters

The repeater directory in Hamtrax helps you find local and regional repeater stations on the map. Whether you're traveling and need a local repeater or looking for a new DMR talkgroup to join, the Activity tab puts thousands of repeaters at your fingertips.

Finding Repeaters

  1. Open the Activity tab and select Repeaters from the activity mode dropdown.
  2. Repeater locations appear as pins on the map. Zoom into your area to see what's nearby.
  3. Tap any repeater pin to open the Repeater Detail popup.

The map clusters nearby repeaters when zoomed out. Zoom in to see individual stations.

Each repeater listing shows:

  • Tone -- The CTCSS tone or DCS code required for access (e.g., 100.0 Hz)

tip

When traveling, zoom to your destination on the map before you leave. Note a few repeater frequencies and tones so you can program your radio ahead of time.

Filtering Repeaters

Tap the Filter button to narrow the list:

  • Band -- Choose 2m (VHF), 70cm (UHF), 1.25m, or other bands
  • Mode -- Filter by FM, DMR, D-STAR, Fusion, or other modes
info

The repeater directory is sourced from public databases and updated periodically. If you notice a repeater that's missing or has incorrect information, the data will be refreshed in a future update.

Using the List View

Switch to Stacked List view for a sortable, scrollable list of repeaters. This is especially helpful when you want to compare frequencies and tones across several nearby repeaters without tapping each pin individually.
