Repeaters
The repeater directory in Hamtrax helps you find local and regional repeater stations on the map. Whether you're traveling and need a local repeater or looking for a new DMR talkgroup to join, the Activity tab puts thousands of repeaters at your fingertips.

Finding Repeaters
- Open the Activity tab and select Repeaters from the activity mode dropdown.
- Repeater locations appear as pins on the map. Zoom into your area to see what's nearby.
- Tap any repeater pin to open the Repeater Detail popup.
The map clusters nearby repeaters when zoomed out. Zoom in to see individual stations.
Repeater Details
Each repeater listing shows:
- Output frequency -- The frequency you listen on (e.g.,
146.940 MHz) - Offset -- The transmit offset direction and amount (e.g.,
-0.600 MHz) - Tone -- The
CTCSStone orDCScode required for access (e.g.,100.0 Hz) - Mode --
FM,DMR,D-STAR,Fusion, or other digital modes - Location -- City, state, and coordinates
- Callsign -- The repeater's licensed callsign
When traveling, zoom to your destination on the map before you leave. Note a few repeater frequencies and tones so you can program your radio ahead of time.
Filtering Repeaters
Tap the Filter button to narrow the list:
- Band -- Choose
2m(VHF),70cm(UHF),1.25m, or other bands - Mode -- Filter by
FM,DMR,D-STAR,Fusion, or other modes
The repeater directory is sourced from public databases and updated periodically. If you notice a repeater that's missing or has incorrect information, the data will be refreshed in a future update.
Using the List View
Switch to Stacked List view for a sortable, scrollable list of repeaters. This is especially helpful when you want to compare frequencies and tones across several nearby repeaters without tapping each pin individually.
